Shannon Peters resides in San Diego, CA with her husband Steffen, and their two dogs Betty and Fritz. They run a 65 horse stable and busy training business, that caters to competition horses and riders.
She is a Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist, and two time National Championship Competitor, first on Luxor in 2007, where they were Reserve National Champion Intermdiare I. Second time on Flor de Selva, her pride and joy whom she co-owns with Laurelyn Browning, in 2009 where they were 4th place in the Intermediare division.
She also enjoys bringing young horses through the levels, the latest one being Weltino’s Magic, who she took to the 2008 Young Horse Championships and brought home the Reserve National Championship.
Holly Bergay
Holly Bergay is 17 years old and was born without her left hand. She has been riding dressage since the age of six.
In 2007 Holy was the first disabled rider to compete at the prestigious North American Junior and Young Rider Championships with her mare Soliloquy. In 2008 with Soliloquy, Holly became the first disable rider to compete as an able bodied young rider at both the NAYRC and the USEF Young Rider National Championships. At this competition she was the youngest competitor and placed 7th in the country.
In 2009, with Grand Ballerina, Holly was named Para Equestrian National Reserve Champion.
In 2010 Holly hopes to represent the United States for Para Equestrian at the World Equestrian Games.
Viola
Viola was born and raised in Germany. She trained to become a Highschool Teacher for Literature and Physical Education.
Viola started riding at the age of 11, her first horse’s name was “Sommerwind”. She watched him being born, that experience hooked her to horses forever. Sommerwind accompanied her until his death at 23 years old. During University there was no time for riding and then a spinal injury prevented her from riding for almost 10 years. She started riding again in the United States, while she was living in Boston. Viola moving to Spain in 1998.
In April of 2000 Rubiosa came into her life and from the very first day dictated how her life and training should be. What a character she was and not in her wildest dreams did she dare to think that they would go on to compete at Grand Prix levels, never dared to think that they would win the 5 year old Championships for young horses and come 3rd in the 6 year old Championship for young horses.
They rode their first San Jorge when Rubiosa was 7 and competed in the Small Tour in Montemedio for the first time when she was 8 years old. She came 3rd in the Complementario of the Spanish Championships in Castro del Rio when she was 9.
Viola and her horse loves Spain, competing and being part of the Dressage World.
Mette Rosencrantz
Mette is based at Mill Creek Equestrian Center in Topanga, California, where she has been running an unparalleled dressage program since 1992. Mette is born in Sweden and was twice a member of the Swedish National Dressage Team. She was the youngest rider ever allowed to enter Stromsolm, Sweden's prestigious school for instructors, and eventually became the head dressage instructor there in 1980. She also has a University degree in Physical Education instruction. Mette's teaching skills are highly sought-after and her expertise is in great demand across the country. She is often invited to teach Dressage Clinics at other riding facilities throughout the United States and Canada. As well as to give speeches and write articles for horse magazines.
Mette has brought several horses all the way up to Grand Prix level. In 2007 she won 1st place with "Basquewille" in the FEI $25,000 open Grand Prix at the World Cup in Las Vegas.
She is currently showing her own horse Taison successfully in Grand Prix. Her other horse Finally is showing the FEI Intermediare 1 with great results and is moving up to Grand Prix at the end of this season. Both Taison and Finally went to Gladstone for the National Championships in 2010. Mette also has some upcoming horses, one of them Hertzregent, a 4 year old gelding by Hotline.
Mette has very high expectations with her own riding and horses as well as for her students and horses in training. Mette is a highly respected competitor and trainer and does very well with all her horses!
Margaret Mollet Eggli
Born Swiss but now resides in Spain.
From age 14 to 18, Margaret was a member of the Swiss Junior Show Jumping Team. She won a gold medal at the European Championships as well as a Silver and several more medals. At the age of 23 she got married and moved to Spain where she now resides with her husband and 2 children.
Margaret competes both national and international.
She has 2 Spanish Champion Gold Medals, is a 4 time Champion of Cataluña and has 3 silver medals in the Catalonia Championships. Further she just recently got a bronze medal in the Spanish Championships. Margaret and her husband have a training facility in Spain and trains and sell horses to top level show jumpers around the world.
Christine Rivlin
Christine has been riding for 30 years with an emphasis on dressage for the last 20. She grew up with horses competing at eventing and some show jumping. Her foundation dressage background includes training for over 8 years with Lilo Fore, several years with Gerhard Politz and Major Anders Lindgren. More recently Christine has studied under Steffen Peters, Leslie Webb and Roger Seegert. She has also participated in clinics with such people as Guenter Seidel, Christine Stuckelberger, Conrad Schumacher, Lars Petersen.
Christine has trained eight horses to the F.E.I. levels, including her own previous mount Bravo to the Grand Prix level. She has earned her USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medals. Christine has competed over 30 horses through various levels in the past 18 years as a professional. She has won numerous horse of the year awards at various levels from USDF and CDS. Currently she is competing 7 horses throughout the levels. Christine also has students competing through the Prix St. George level with many awards and scores well over 70%.
Christine has also been invited to participate in events such as the USDF symposium with Steffen Peters and Elizabeth McMullen in 1998, the 1999 AHSA judges Forum, the 2001 and 2002 USDF Trainers Conference with Conrad Schumacher and the 2004 Lars Petersen clinic. She has also been invited to be an auction rider at the prestigious Elite Verden auction in Germany.
Ellie Kennedy
Ellie Kennedy has completed the USDF Instructor Certification workshops, studied in Germany with Stefen Kieswetter and has shown through Second Level. In 2003 Ellie competed as an amateur on her gelding La Paz and placed 5th for CDS Horse of the Year Training Level with 67.20% and 3rd for the ABIG Training Level Championships. Ellie has also competed her Hanoverian mare Pik's Pandora and placed 1st in 2001 as ABIG Training Level Adult Amateur.
